Ushoda Hachigen

Ushoda Hachigen, more often called Hachi, is one of the Vizards and a former first lieutenant of the Kidō Corps. Huge, good-natured and polite, he is one of the most outstanding masters of kidō and barrier techniques in the whole Soul Society. Despite the fact that his own power has enormous destructive potential, Hachi himself considers his abilities unsuitable for combat and prefers to use them for protection, healing and support. He is deeply attached to his fellow Vizards and finds a kindred spirit in Orihime Inoue, whose abilities are surprisingly similar to his own. His path — from a high-ranking officer of the Kidō Corps to an exile and a Vizard who, despite his peaceful nature, showed ruthless ingenuity at a decisive moment, defeating Baraggan Louisenbairn himself at the cost of his own arm.
