Ukitake Jūshirō

Ukitate Jushiro is the captain of the 13th Division of the Gotei 13, one of the oldest and most respected Shinigami in the Soul Society. Since early childhood, he has suffered from a severe lung disease that weakened his body but did not break his spirit. He is known for his nobility, compassion, and unwavering adherence to a moral code, even if it means going against orders for the sake of justice. His life is inextricably linked to Mimihagi - the Right Hand of the Soul King, which sustained his life for many years, and at a decisive moment demanded full devotion. Ukitake voluntarily accepted this sacrifice to preserve the balance of the worlds, and after death was cast down into Hell, where he continued to act under the name "Kamikake".
