Shiba Kaien

Shiba Kaien was a former lieutenant of the 13th Division of Gotei 13, serving under Captain Ukitake Jushiro. He belonged to the Shiba Clan, one of the great noble houses, and was the elder brother of Kukaku and Ganju. Kaien died at the hands of the Hollow Metastacia (finished off by Rukia), which had previously killed his wife Miyako. His appearance and demeanor noticeably resemble Kurosaki Ichigo, as noted by many Shinigami, including Kuchiki Byakuya. Kaien was known for his high moral standards and was respected among his comrades.
