Muguruma Kensei is the captain of the 9th Division of the Gotei 13 and one of the Visoreds, a former captain who was stripped of his post after the Hollowfication incident over a hundred years ago. He returned to the ranks of the Gotei 13 after Aizen's defeat, once again taking up his former position. Kensei is known for his hot temper and dislike of immaturity, yet behind his rough manner hides a caring, though stern, commander. His fighting style combines hand-to-hand combat and the explosive power of his zanpakutō Tachikaze, while his Hollowfication ability grants him additional power in battle. Despite his heavy past, he remains a devoted defender of the Soul Society, ready to fight any enemy.
