Kuchiki Byakuya

Byakuya Kuchiki is the twenty-eighth head of the Kuchiki clan, one of the four great noble houses of the Soul Society, and the captain of the Sixth Division of the Gotei 13. He is the adopted brother of Rukia Kuchiki, whom he swore to protect after the death of his wife Hisana. Byakuya is the embodiment of dignity and discipline, strictly following laws and rules, but after the revelation of Aizen's betrayal he learned to find a balance between duty and personal feelings. His spiritual sword, Senbonzakura, in shikai scatters into a thousand of the finest blades reminiscent of cherry blossom petals, and his bankai, Senbonzakura Kageyoshi, represents a colossal army of one hundred million blades, capable of destroying everything in its path. Byakuya is one of the strongest captains, a skilled swordsman, a master of Shunpo and Kido. His composure and strategic mind make him a dangerous opponent, but behind his outward aloofness hides a deep care for those close to him, especially for Rukia.
