Komamuru Sajin

Komamura Sajin is a former captain of the 7th Division of the Gotei 13, an anthropomorphic wolf from the wolf clan who long concealed his appearance out of shame. He was one of the tallest and physically strongest captains, whose devotion to Commander-in-Chief Yamamoto Genryusai bordered on absolute self-sacrifice. Despite his intimidating appearance, Komamura possessed a gentle heart, deep loyalty to his friends, and a striving for justice. The betrayal of his closest friend Tousen Kaname was a heavy blow for him, but it did not break him. In the war against the Wandenreich, Komamura, in order to avenge Yamamoto's death, resorted to the forbidden Human Transformation Technique, tearing out his own heart. This granted him temporary immortality, but after he gave in to selfish vengeance, the clan's curse was fulfilled, and he was forever turned into an ordinary wolf, losing all of his Shinigami powers.
