Kira Izuru

Kira Izuru is a lieutenant of the 3rd Division of the Gotei 13, who previously served under Gin Ichimaru and now serves under Captain Rojuro Otoribashi. He is a melancholic, contemplative officer whose zanpakutō, Wabisuke, doubles the weight of everything it touches, forcing opponents to bow before him as if in repentance. Izuru took the betrayal of his former captain and his own involuntary role in his plans hard, but remained loyal to the Gotei 13. During the war with the Wandenreich, he received a fatal wound, but was brought back to life through the efforts of Mayuri Kurotsuchi, albeit with serious changes to his body. Despite his grim view of war and reluctance to fight without need, Izuru remains a skilled and devoted fighter, ready to protect his comrades.
