Ise Nanao

Ise Nanao is the co-lieutenant of the 1st Division of the Gotei 13, serving under her uncle, Commander-in-Chief Shunsui Kyoraku. She previously held the position of lieutenant of the 8th Division, but after Kyoraku's transfer she followed him. Nanao is known as a brilliant expert in kido and vice-president of the Women's Shinigami Association. Her character combines strictness, pragmatism, and hidden loyalty, and the Ise clan's heirloom blade - Shinken Hakkyoken - makes her the bearer of a unique sacred weapon capable of reflecting the power of deities. Despite lacking her own zanpakuto, she is considered a most valuable officer thanks to her outstanding analytical abilities and mastery of barrier techniques.
