Aikawa Love is a Shinigami and Vizard, the former captain of the Seventh Division of the Gotei 13. His lieutenant was Kotsubaki Jinemon. Love is a tall man with a thick black afro hairstyle, wears a green tracksuit and mirrored glasses. He is relaxed and good-natured, reading Shonen Jump or Lisa Yadomaru's erotic manga in his free time. Like most Vizards, Love instantly switches between seriousness and carefree attitude. He dislikes showing off: he can give a comrade a clout on the head if they start philosophizing before a fight. Despite his friendliness, in battle Love is cruel and ruthless, gives the enemy no chance to recover and immediately uses his strongest techniques. His Zanpakutō Tengumaru in Shikai transforms into a huge black kanabo covered in spikes, and controls fire. Love's Hollow mask has an oni shape, and Hollowfication gives him enormous strength and the ability to use Cero. He can only hold the mask for three minutes.
