Uryu Ishida is a Quincy living in Karakura Town. He is one of the few surviving members of his race in the world of humans. He works as a pediatrician at Karakura Central Hospital and is a second cousin of Kurosaki Ichigo. For some time he was a member of the Wandenreich, where he was appointed as Yhwach's successor and received the letter "A" - The Antithesis. Uryu is a proud heir of Quincy traditions, striving to protect humans from Hollows and prove the superiority of his people, despite the historical enmity with the Shinigami. He wields a spiritual weapon - the Heilig Bogen bow, and the unique ability to swap events with one another.
