Ishida Sōken

Ishida Sōken was a pure-blooded Quincy, the father of Ishida Ryūken and the grandfather of Ishida Uryū. He was one of the last representatives of the true Quincy and once belonged to the Wandenreich, from where he was exiled. Sōken is known as the creator of the Seed of Destruction - a dangerous technique that unites souls of different types into a single energy vortex. He held unusual views, advocating cooperation with the Shinigami, and did not accept new trends like Vollständig, remaining faithful to the outdated Letzt Stil. Sōken died from Hollows, but later it turned out that his death was staged by Mayuri Kurotsuchi. His diary, found by Uryū, revealed the truth about the Wandenreich and Yhwach.
