Inoue Sora is the older brother of Inoue Orihime. He was human, but after dying in a car accident he turned into a Hollow named Acidwire. Since birth, Sora took care of Orihime, protecting her from their cruel parents. When he turned eighteen, he ran away with his sister and raised her on his own. After his death, Sora listened to Orihime's prayers, which brought him peace. However, when Orihime befriended Arisawa Tatsuki and Kurosaki Ichigo and stopped praying, instead telling him about her friends, Sora felt loneliness and resentment. These feelings led to his transformation into a Hollow. As Acidwire, he retained his love for his sister, but it became distorted under the influence of hollowification. He tried to take Orihime with him, attacked her friends, and finally attempted to consume her soul. However, after Orihime hugged him, and Ichigo told him that she wears the hairpins he gave her every day, Sora regained clarity. He willingly purified himself with Ichigo's blade and departed for the Soul Society. His story is a tragedy about a love that could not withstand loneliness and turned into a destructive force.
