Bambietta Basterbine - a Quincy of the Vandenreich who bore the Schrift "E" - "The Explode". She was one of the Sternritter, the self-proclaimed leader of the female group nicknamed "Bambi". Sadistic and capricious, she took pleasure in killing, yet desperately clung to her own life. After her defeat in battle against Sajin Komamura, Bambietta was killed by her own comrade Giselle Gewelle and turned into a zombie, forever losing her free will. Her story is a path from a cruel executioner confident in her superiority to a pitiful puppet forced to serve the one who killed her.

The whole point of a fight is that you don't want to die! That if you lose — you'll perish! If you senselessly throw away your life in battle, what's the point of victory then?!

— Bambietta Basterbine
